Countries that colonized Africa and caused suffering of local people and climate change must pay compensation, Zambian MP Christopher Kalila said during the event on “Solidarity for a Colonial-Free and Green Future” held within the framework of COP29.

According to Report, he noted that peoples who suffered from colonization should stand in solidarity:
