Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has highly appreciated Georgia’s mediation between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani said.

Report’s local bureau informs that Zalkaliani was commenting on the meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and the Turkish President as part of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.

He noted that Georgia’s partners are well informed about the proposals set by the country.

“We have received a huge support from our Turkish partners in turning Tbilisi into a platform for sustainable peace in the South Caucasus and concerning our new initiatives and projects,” he said.
