The opening ceremony of the “Youth for Green World” 5th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth is being held in Lachin, Report informs.
The camp, jointly organized by the State Committee for Work with Diaspora and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, will last until August 7.
A total of 115 young people from 60 countries are participating in the camp. This includes Azerbaijanis living abroad and representatives of other nations who have a friendly attitude towards Azerbaijan.
During a week, participants will have the opportunity to explore the historical and cultural monuments of Lachin and Karabakh, meet with families of martyrs and veterans, engage with experts in various fields, and participate in panels, seminars, and intellectual games.
Additionally, visits are planned to the Islimi Carpet Weaving Center, Gilabi Ceramics Center, Hakari Fish Farm, Hochazfilm Creative Studio, Zabukh village, Shusha, and several other cities in Karabakh.
These summer camps aim to strengthen the ties of young Azerbaijanis abroad with their homeland, enhance their skills to represent Azerbaijan successfully, and provide networking opportunities and new friendships.
The organizers fully cover the participation costs.
Previously, four summer camps have been organized with the joint organization of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Shaki, Shamakhi, Shusha, and Nakhchivan, with hundreds of young people from over 50 countries participating.
