Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has said there is a real possibility for signing a peace agreement with Azerbaijan, which could establish long-term peace in the region.

Report informs via Aysor.am that Mirzoyan made the statement during the concluding session of the Strategic Dialogue between Armenia and the United States, attended by US Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, James O’Brien.

Minister Mirzoyan reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to the process of normalizing relations with Azerbaijan and demarcating the border, based on the mutual recognition of territorial integrity as outlined in the Almaty Declaration of 1991. He emphasized the historic chance to finalize the draft peace agreement, the signing of which could open a new door for lasting stability in the region.
