Provocative actions of ‘Charlie Hebdo’ journal against Islam, the great Prophet of Islam, are an insult to the sacred feelings of Muslims around the world and a blow to the efforts of intercultural and interreligious dialogue that are necessary in our modern world, Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration said.

“Through its Islamophobic actions, the magazine abuses freedom of speech and press and encourages hatred, religious discrimination and violence. We strongly condemn ‘Charlie Hebdo’ for targeting President of brotherly Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, ” Hajiyev emphasized.
