Denmark and the United States are negotiating a defense agreement that would allow the deployment of troops, Report informs, citing the Danish Defense Ministry.

“Denmark will contribute to the strengthening of US activities in Europe,” the statement adds.

Earlier, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that the agreement was not related to the situation around Ukraine, and the negotiations on it have been going on for a long time.
