
US Assistant Secretary of Commerce Arun Venkatamaran has met with members of the US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce.
Report’s US bureau informs that the meeting held at the head office of the chamber in Washington was also attended by representatives of the companies engaged in technological, transport and agricultural sectors.
Chairman of the Directors’ Board of the Chamber Reza Vaziri and executive director Natig Bakhishov spoke about the activity of the organization and its contribution to the US-Azerbaijani trade relations.
Venkatamaran noted that the meeting is aimed at discussing and exchange of views on topics of concern to representatives of the private sector before his expected visit to Azerbaijan in April of this year.
Boeing official Bryan Lopp who spoke at the meeting informed the participants about the successful business relations with Azerbaijan, especially with SilkWay West Airlines, and noted that Azerbaijan is a reliable trade partner.
At the end of the meeting, the guest was presented with an Azerbaijani carpet.
