
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The Azerbaijani minister informed the UN Secretary-General in detail about the current situation in the South Caucasus, the tension that arose as a result of military provocations of the illegal regime created by Armenia in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, as well as the goals and results of local anti-terrorist measures.
Jeyhun Bayramov also spoke about the ongoing disarmament of illegal Armenian armed groups and, as evidence, presented to the Secretary-General photographs of military equipment and ammunition confiscated over the past three days.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
