Ukraine is interested in Azerbaijan’s participation in developing 4G networks to cover 90% of the country, Ukrainian MP Marian Zablotsky said as he spoke during the international roundtable discussions ‘Ukraine-Azerbaijan: prospects for cooperation.’

Report’s Eastern-European bureau informs that, according to Zablotsky, low tariffs on mobile communication in Ukraine create problems investing in this area.

“It is a costly affair to build such a network. The tariffs on mobile communication in Ukraine are not the highest, and not everyone wants to invest. We hope to cover the biggest part of Ukraine and 90% of its population due to Azerbaijan’s investments. It is important for us, and we are ready to support it,” Zablotsky said.

All the same, he stressed the importance of introducing 4G in the post-COVID period.
