In the auction held for the first time in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, the Ahmadli building stone deposit in Lachin and the Hajili limestone deposit in Gubadli were sold to entrepreneurs at an auction, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The State Agency for the Use of Mineral Resources under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and the Auction Organization Center of the State Service on Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy held an auction for the first time in the East Zangazur economic district.
The last offers for mineral deposits were higher than the initial price.
Elchin Majidov, the deputy chairman of the State Agency for the Use of Mineral Resources, said that the exploitation of mineral deposits in the liberated territories will contribute to the economic development of Karabakh and East Zangazur.
