A contract was signed to supply Turkiye with the second regiment of S-400 surface-to-air missile systems (SAM), within the framework of which it is expected to localize the production of individual components of the system, the head of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) Dmitry Shugaev said, Report informs via Kommersant.

Shugaev did not specify when the contract was concluded.

He told TASS on the sidelines of the Army 2022 forum that the practical implementation of the contract is already underway.

“There is no reason to believe that any state will be able to create a system in the coming years that, in terms of its tactical and technical characteristics, could reach the S-400 Triumph air defense system,” Shugaev said.
