Turkiye’s intention to develop new deposits on the Black Sea bottom may lead to a 30% reduction in the country’s dependence on imported gas, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez said, Report informs.

He noted that after the start of Black Sea gas production, it will provide 25-30% of the total consumption.

“Our external dependence on natural gas will drop to 70%,” said Donmez.
