The United States may withdraw from Syria and Iraq following the presidential election, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said in an interview with Yeni Safak newspaper, Report informs.
The minister emphasized that after the election, the US may bring this issue to the agenda: “The US does not want to maintain a military presence in the area under Iran’s sphere of influence. The Americans are discussing leaving Iraq’s Central Iraqi Administration in 2025 and the Kurdistan Region in 2026. Now is the time to discuss the existence of an international coalition to fight ISIS.”
