A court hearing is being held on the criminal case of persons of Armenian origin accused of committing war crimes.

Report informs that prosecutors continue to announce the conclusion of the indictment at the trial held at the Baku Court Complex presided over by Judge Zeynal Aghayev of the Baku Military Court.

After the conclusion of the indictment is announced, the accused persons will express their comments on the charges.

In the indictment announced by prosecutors at the previous hearing, crimes committed against different regions of Azerbaijan and the damages caused were disclosed.

The 15 persons of Armenian origin are accused of crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, including aggressive warfare, genocide, forced displacement, persecution, torture, military looting, and other illegal acts committed against Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani people by the Armenian state and its armed forces, including the former self-proclaimed “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic” established in Azerbaijan’s occupied territories and its illegal armed formations.
