The Azerbaijani Army destroyed a large number of military equipment and manpower of the Armenian Armed Forces, according to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
Note, since September 27, at about 06:00, the Armenian Armed Forces committed military provocation against Azerbaijan shelling the positions of the Azerbaijan Army along the entire length of the front and targeting settlements and demilitarized zones, as well as non-military clearly visible and distinguishable objects, including the civilian population, located in the frontline zone and cities and regions far from the front line with missiles, large-caliber weapons, mortars, and artillery mounts of various calibers.
Azerbaijani servicemen reported to President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev on the liberation of Zangilan city.
The report reads:
“Dear Mr. President, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief, I report that the city of Zangilan and surrounding areas have been liberated from occupation under your order. Currently, the Azerbaijani flag flies. Long live Azerbaijan! Long live Supreme Commander-in-Chief! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!”
Azerbaijan’s artillery units strike the firing points of the Armenian Armed Forces, according to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.

The members of various terrorist organizations, including foreign citizens, illegally crossed the state border of Armenia without any documents and arrived in the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan. have been identified for use as mercenaries by the Armenian side, according to the investigation conducted by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Prosecutor General’s Office prepared videos in French, Spanish, German, Russian, English and Arabic which shows how foreign citizens enter the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan aiming to prevent possible illegal situations.
Foreign citizens are required to comply with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan while crossing the state border of Azerbaijan.
While the Armenian propaganda unsuccessfully tries to convince the world community that foreign mercenaries are allegedly fighting on the side of Azerbaijan, “soldiers of fortune” from the diaspora continue to arrive in Armenia itself.
Yerevan denies the understanding of mercenary claiming that they cannot be considered mercenaries since they are Armenians coming from diaspora. However, there is no escape from international law and the Geneva Conventions of 1977. The definion of mercenary can be found there.
In accordance with the Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions, signed in 1977, a mercenary is a person who is especially recruited locally or abroad in order to fight in an armed conflict; actually takes a direct part in hostilities; is neither a citizen of a party to the conflict nor a resident of the territory controlled by a party to the conflict; is not a member of the armed forces of a party to the conflict; is not sent by a State that is not a party to the conflict to perform duties as a member of its armed forces.
In fact, all Armenians arriving in Yerevan are no longer citizens of Armenia and their state of residence has not sent them to the zone of the Karabakh conflict. Accordingly, it can be clearly stated that terrorist mercenaries from all over the world are fighting on the side of Armenia.
However, these numerous mercenaries cannot save the Armenian army from defeat.
