Kazakhstan is interested in further strengthening its strategic partnership with the European Union (EU), President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at a meeting with the EU Ambassador to the country Kestutis Jankauskas.

Report informs via Kazakh media that the two discussed priority areas of relations between Kazakhstan and the European Union.

“The head of state confirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership with the EU, as well as the intention to continue to promote multifaceted cooperation within the C5+EU format, initiated by Kazakhstan. The President spoke about the successful implementation of the course of political reforms and thanked the EU for supporting Kazakhstan in strengthening democracy,” Akorda reported.
