Syria’s Transition and Ports Administration announced a new decree banning the entry of goods from Iran, Russia and Israel. This decision comes after the Syrian government previously imposed restrictions on the entry of citizens from Iran and Israel, Report informs via Turkiye Today.

The move is believed to intensify tensions in the region, particularly between Syria and these countries, while also affecting international trade. The decision is significant for neighboring countries and global trade, particularly for Türkiye, which has strong trade relations with Syria.

The Syrian Ministry of Finance‘s decree, issued on Dec. 17, prohibits the entry of goods originating from Iran, Israel, and Russia into Syria. This ban will be enforced at all land and sea border ports in the country.
