Azerbaijan’s State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons has so far exhumed the remains of 642 missing citizens, Ali Naghiyev, the chairman of the state commission, said at an international conference “Addressing the problem of missing persons: upholding ‘the right to know’ for the families” in Baku.

According to Report, he noted that these remains were found in 18 mass graves in territories liberated from occupation.

Naghiyev added that forensic molecular genetic examination allowed to establish the identities of 155 people who were considered missing during the First Karabakh War.
