The recent revelations by the new US administration about the misuse of foreign aid serve as a signal for Georgia, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili told journalists, Report informs.

According to the Georgian speaker, work will be carried out on legislative changes over the next two months to strengthen democracy, combat disinformation, and limit foreign interference in the activities of state institutions.

“It has become apparent that some foreign organizations are using financial resources to promote their interests. It was even revealed that some international media organizations were funded for this purpose,” Papuashvili noted.
