In the context of global challenges, the mutual relations between regional countries play a key role in strengthening peace and solidarity, Speaker of the Belarusian Parliament Natalya Kochanova said at the 15th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) held in Baku on February 19 under Azerbaijan’s chairmanship, Report informs.
According to Kochanova, parliamentarians play an important role in strengthening peace, solidarity, and prosperity: “We must do everything possible to ensure peace and solidarity in all our countries. Today’s meeting confirms that we are ready to unite for these goals.”
Kochanova expressed her gratitude to the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Sahiba Gafarova, and her Azerbaijani colleagues for their effective cooperation.
She noted that last year’s visit of the Azerbaijani delegation to Belarus gave a new impetus to the development of inter-parliamentary relations: “We are interested in continuing cooperation within the framework of existing agreements covering all areas.”
