Last month, several attempts to smuggle undeclared foreign currencies into Georgia were thwarted, the local bureau of Report informs, citing the Revenue Service under the Georgian Finance Ministry.

Undeclared currencies were confiscated from Georgian, Kazakh, Iranian, and Kuwaiti citizens at the Tbilisi airport and at the Red Bridge customs checkpoints. The total amount of foreign currencies stood at $306,400, 90,445 euros, and AZN9,027.
