Small and medium business subjects (SMEs) saved 170 million manats (about $100 million) from electricity and 360 million manats (about $212 million) from gas consumption, Rufat Atakishiyev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of SMBDA said at the event titled “Raising Ambition, Delivering Action: COP29 Sustainable Business Forum”, Report informs.

The deputy chairman mentioned that these are good indicators for SMEs in terms of stability and growth:

“Nowadays, SMEs are considering new market opportunities, taking into account their brand, reputation and giving priority to stronger sustainability and risk reduction. There has been great progress in energy, water and gas consumption by SMEs and they are more likely to use practices that work without harming the environment.”
