Slovakia seeks to achieve unity on climate change issues and actively participates in the green transition, Slovakia’s President Peter Pellegrini told journalists on the sidelines of the COP29 climate conference in Baku, Report informs.
“We have reduced emissions by 50% compared to 1990. Our plans and goal are to reduce them by 55% by 2030,” he emphasized.
The president noted that the conference provides opportunities for cooperation with many parties: “I think everyone should participate in this event because any country is too small to face this problem [climate change], regardless of its size,” said the president.
