Senegal and Great Britain signed the first agreement on cooperation in the field of defense and security in the history of bilateral relations, Report informs via news agency Agence de Presse Senegalaise.

In accordance with the document, the two countries create a joint military commission. Dakar and London agreed to strengthen ties in the field of defense and security.

The agreement was signed by El-Hadji Oumar Youm, Minister of the Armed Forces of Senegal and James Heappey, Minister of State for the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom.
