Regional progress, cooperation, and security in the region are largely determined by Azerbaijan’s phenomenon as a main regulatory factor, Azerbaijan’s Security Council Secretary Ramil Usubov wrote in an article published in the newspaper “Azerbaijan,” Report informs.

He emphasized that the realities created by the victory initiated new approaches and modern challenges not only in the Caucasus but also in various areas of the Eurasian space: “The system of peace, development, and security created in our country and the Caucasus is an important contribution to the global context. Any processes related to Azerbaijan, recognized as an authoritative state and leader in the international arena, naturally attract attention at the global level and have a significant impact. At the same time, Azerbaijan’s independent policy and its leader cause concern and dissatisfaction among certain external circles, groups, and even individual states. As President Ilham Aliyev noted, Azerbaijan’s actions have shifted major layers in the world arena. However, the enormous authority and trust earned by our country through contributions to solving global problems in recent decades indicate that most states and peoples support the continuation of this independent policy.”

In his article, Usubov also noted that global security problems have become more extensive in recent years: “Social crises, economic decline, civil conflicts, political disagreements, and even environmental disasters are equivalent in their consequences to bloody wars and represent serious threats to the security of states and peoples. In the modern security system, all these factors are considered as threats of the same level, and their interconnection leading to a chain reaction is evident. The number of countries still influenced by external forces through ‘color revolutions,’ a new form of expansion and colonial policy, is quite large. Azerbaijan takes an active position in this process, advocating for the protection of sovereign rights of peoples and states. At the same time, our country hosts various events and creates coordination centers with representatives of small states, foreign organizations, and political parties fighting against the colonial policy of known superpowers.”

The Security Council secretary emphasized that the activities of the Republic of Azerbaijan, whose role in the international security system is becoming more significant each day, are not limited to one country’s framework in the new historical stage.
