German Chancellor Olaf Scholz believes it is necessary to triple global renewable energy potential by 2030, Report informs via TASS.
“The spread of renewable energy is progressing, but not at the pace required,” Scholz said at the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28). He stressed the need to “triple the expansion of renewable sources” and “double energy efficiency by 2030.”
At the same time, the chancellor noted that the expansion of the use of renewable sources in Germany has already accelerated, but now this must happen everywhere in the world.
