Russia’s military operations in Ukraine will not affect the fight against terrorism and presence in Syria, and Moscow’s support for Damascus will continue, Russian Special Presidential Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev told Russian reporters, Report informs.

“Of course, this will not directly affect our actions regarding Syria. We came there (Syria) to help fight against terrorism and terrorist groups whose members came from the republics of the former Soviet Union, including the Russian Federation and the Caucasus regions,” he stressed.
