Russian companies are demonstrating a lively interest in investing in Azerbaijan, said Boris Titov, the Special Representative of the President of Russia for Relations with International Organizations for Sustainable Development, according to Report.
“As is well known, the economic relations between our two countries are developing steadily with a positive trend. In the first half of 2024, the volume of bilateral trade grew by 13%,” Titov told journalists following the meeting of the Azerbaijan-Russia Intergovernmental Commission held in Baku on August 9, 2024.
He noted that mutual investments are also increasing, primarily from the Russian side. In Azerbaijan, Russian KamAZ and Ural vehicles are being repaired, and assembly plants for Lada and Gazelle have recently opened. Russian companies are investing in Azerbaijan’s agriculture, including winemaking, building materials production, and other sectors.
