
Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party is preparing for early parliamentary elections, Iravunk newspaper said, citing party sources, Report informs.
As noted, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan himself has indirectly told this to several of his allies. Pashinyan stated that they should be ready to maintain power at any moment in case of emergency.
“He even hinted that in the worst case, he would not personally lead the election list, as long as there is ‘his’ person. The ruling party members were shocked by this news and expressed their concerns, questioning who their leader might ‘sacrifice’,” the publication notes.
