A high-level roundtable is taking place in Paris on the sessions of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change “Beyond COP28: Time to Unite, Act, and Deliver on the UAE Consensus,” Report informs referring to the International Energy Agency (IEA).
Azerbaijan is represented at the round table by the chief negotiator for COP29, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yalchin Rafiyev.
The event is attended by IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol, COP28 President Sultan Al Jaber, US Special Presidential Climate Envoy John Kerry, COP21 President and former French Prime Minister Laurent Fabius, Danish Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen, German Special Envoy for International Climate Action Jennifer Morgan, Brazilian National Secretary for Climate Change Ana Toni, Azerbaijan’s COP29 Lead Negotiator Yalchin Rafiyev, and UN Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on Climate Action and Just Transition Selwin Hart.
