Pakistan, along with other developing countries, is fighting for simplified access to climate financing, Pakistan Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Romina Khurshid Alam, told Report exclusively.
She emphasized that this is important for all developing countries, and although there is no final decision yet, negotiations are actively continuing.
“When it comes to climate financing, there are many questions about how developed countries will fulfill their obligations,” said the coordinator.
According to Romina Khurshid, developed countries constantly make promises at COP summits but fail to fulfill them, which is a major problem for Global South countries.
“This is a big issue of human rights and climate justice. Therefore, Pakistan, together with other developing countries, demands the achievement of climate justice,” she concluded.
