“Türkiye and Azerbaijan have always stood by each other. This solidarity is evident in every sphere, particularly during the Karabakh Victory,” Samil Ayrim, member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and Chairman of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group, said at the international parliamentary conference on “Parliamentarism: Traditions and Perspectives” held in Baku.
Highlighting the expulsion of Western Azerbaijan from their lands in 1988, Samil Ayrim emphasized the necessity of their return in accordance with international law.
“Azerbaijan says ‘let’s ensure peace.’ Can there be a better proposition? The return of Western Azerbaijanis to their lands should not cause any concern among Armenians,” Samil Ayrim stressed.
