Investing in the development of human capital is important for the improvement of the tourism sector, the founding rector of Kayseri University, Kurtulush Karamustafa, said at the first meeting of tourism educational institutions of member states of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) held in Baku, Report informs.

According to him, Türkiye started investing in tourism with the establishment of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in the early 1960s: “In the early 1980s, institutions that train specialists in the tourism sector and laws that stimulate investments gave impetus to physical investments in tourism infrastructure.”
