A rally in support of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is taking place in front of the High Court in London, Report informs referring to foreign media.

The rally is attended by the former head of the National Union of Journalists of Great Britain, Tim Dawson, as well as the former leader of the Labor Party, Jeremy Corbyn.

“This is the most significant case of the 21st century related to press freedom. We want the court to understand that the majority of people in this country believe that a journalist should not go to prison for telling the truth,” the protesters said.

Earlier, the country’s government announced that the High Court in London will begin two days of hearings on February 20, during which it will determine whether the WikiLeaks founder will have the opportunity to continue to challenge the decision to extradite him to the US in British courts.
