Arsenal are expected to announce in the next 24 hours whether Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be left out of their squad for the Europa League final in Baku a week tomorrow.
Report informs citing The Times that the team from London will announce its position on the Armenian 30-year-old midfielder by the end of the day.
Earlier AFFA General Secretary Elkhan Mammadov told The Telegraph that the Azerbaijani authorities states guaranteed UEFA on Mkhitaryan’s arrival in Baku. The National Association official stressed that there is not any problem on guaranteeing security: “We had received a request from UEFA on guaranteeing security before Arsenal qualified for final. Our authorities have taken all necessary security measures on Mkhitaryan’s arrival in Baku.”
Notably, Arsenal will face other London’s representative Chelsea in the final match to be held at the Baku Olympics Stadium on May 29.
