Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed condolences to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on July 30 due to the wildfires that broke out in Turkey.

“Dear President,

We were deeply saddened upon hearing the news on wildfires in various parts of brotherly Turkey and its consequences.

I am sure that as a result of the decisive steps taken by the government under your leadership, the determined and combative Turkish people will soon overcome this disaster.

Azerbaijani government and people are in solidarity with brotherly people of Turkey, and always stands by Turkey. 

On behalf of the Azerbaijani people and on my own, I offer condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of destructive wildfire, and wish the injured a speedy recovery. 

May God has mercy!,” said the president’s letter.
