On September 28, the European Commission (EC) will hold a briefing for representatives of the EU countries, at which it will announce proposals for a new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, and also propose to introduce a price cap on Russian oil, Report informs, citing the Politico newspaper.

High-ranking officials and diplomats told the publication that the EU intends to ease a number of sanctions against the Russian Federation, lifting the ban on the transportation of Russian fertilizers, cement and “other products.”

According to the publication, the briefing is scheduled for 14:30.
