
The Petkim petrochemical complex, an investment by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, has secured first place in the list of “Stars of Export” by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations for the second time in 2024, Report informs, referring to the SOCAR Türkiye.
According to SOCAR Türkiye, the Petkim complex achieved significant success, maintaining its leadership in both the overall ranking and the chemical sector category in 2024. The award was presented to Kanan Mirzayev, General Manager of Petkim.
Founded on April 3, 1965, Petkim Petrokimya Holding is Türkiye’s leading petrochemical complex. The complex produces ethylene, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, and other petrochemical products used in the production of plastic mass, textiles, and other consumer and industrial goods. To date, $1.6 billion has been invested in the development of Petkim, Türkiye’s first and only integrated petrochemical facility.
