Slovakia highly values Azerbaijan’s role in ensuring energy security, President of Slovakia Peter Pellegrini told journalists on the sidelines of the COP29 climate conference in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that the expiration of the gas transit contract between Russia and Ukraine to Europe has put his country in a difficult situation.
According to the president, although the final decision on this issue will be made by Russia and Ukraine, he would also be happy if Azerbaijani gas would flow to Slovakia.
