
During a recent press conference in Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif fondly recalled his previous visit to Azerbaijan, highlighting his memorable experience with Azerbaijani cuisine. Addressing President Ilham Aliyev and the attending delegations, Sharif expressed his deep appreciation for the hospitality he received during his trip to Azerbaijan in 2023.
“Mr. President, I still carry those very fond memories of your generosity and very warm hospitality. I still remember your delicious lunch,” Sharif said. He reminisced about the exceptional taste of Azerbaijani dishes, expressing a strong desire to experience them again. “I wish I could have it again,” Sharif added, indicating his eagerness to revisit Azerbaijan. He announced plans to return to the country in November, reflecting on the delightful culinary experience as a highlight of his past visit.
The Pakistani Prime Minister’s comments underscored the warm and personal nature of the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, further solidified by shared cultural experiences.
