Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with Abdul Aleem Khan, the Federal Minister for Privatization, Board of Investment, and Communications of Pakistan, Report informs.

The sides discussed the development of bilateral relations in various areas of the energy sector, Shahbazov said on X.

“We reviewed the issues on the agenda, including opportunities for cooperation in oil and gas, renewable energy, and energy efficiency, Shahbazov wrote.

The Azerbaijani and Pakistani officials also focused on cooperation between energy companies of both countries and ongoing projects. Opportunities were reviewed within the framework of Azerbaijan’s industrial-scale projects in renewable energy, offshore wind energy utilization, and the creation of green energy export routes, according to the Energy Ministry’s statement.

Pakistani companies have been invited to cooperate in green energy and energy efficiency.

The sides also exchanged views on the activities of the ECO-UNIDO Clean Energy Center established in Baku, and expressed mutual support for strengthening the bilateral energy partnership.
