The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has announced two key events for 2025: an informal summit of heads of state in Hungary and the 12th official summit in Azerbaijan.

Report informs that, according to OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev, these summits will serve as crucial platforms for discussing key decisions and launching new initiatives that will shape the organization’s future development.

In an exclusive interview with Kazinform, Omuraliev emphasized that the OTS is entering a new phase of expanded cooperation and strategic growth. “2025 promises to be a year of significant progress and deeper integration among the Turkic states,” he stated.

The Secretary General highlighted the organization’s ambitious agenda for 2025, focusing on strategic cooperation.

“We have made substantial progress in areas such as economy, transport, education and tourism. ” Omuraliev noted.

“However, there is always potential for further development. In particular, we will continue working on implementing the decisions made at the summits in Shusha and Bishkek, which outline specific tasks and projects to be completed by 2025. One of the priorities will be continuing negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement in the areas of investment and services. This is an important step that will help eliminate barriers in economic interaction and create a more integrated trade space,” he added.
