Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestler of Azerbaijani origin Parviz Nasibov has shared his impressions after performing at the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris.

In a conversation with a Report correspondent sent to the French capital, the athlete said that he considers himself a son of Azerbaijan who represents Ukraine.

“I wanted to win a gold medal. But, apparently, I was destined to take silver. I need to work harder. I think haste prevented me from winning gold. I am a son of Azerbaijan who represents Ukraine. I will never do anything to the detriment of the prestige of our country. At competitions, I can compete with Hasrat Jafarov, with whom we met in the semi-finals. But outside the wrestling mat, we are friends,” added Nasibov.
