Support from Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev is very important for Georgia. Cooperation between the two countries is a guarantee of peace in the South Caucasus, the chairman of the Interregional Policy and Self-Government Committee of the Georgian Parliament, Irakli Kadagishvili, told Report.
Kadagishvili noted that the wisdom of the leaders and peoples of Azerbaijan and Georgia saved the region from alien values and non-traditional trends.
“Neighboring, friendly countries should always pay attention to these issues to jointly solve emerging problems and support each other. This contributes to strengthening the sovereignty and democracy of each country. I think that cooperation plays an important role in resolving these issues. Today, some forces are trying to aggravate the situation in Georgia, therefore the support of Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev is very important for Georgia,” said Kadagishvili.
According to him, the fact that Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze made his first official visit after the parliamentary elections to Azerbaijan shows how important and productive the relations between the two countries are.
“Friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan create an excellent foundation for further development of bilateral relations,” he emphasized.
