Regarding the protection of the city of Kharkiv, the oblast, and military equipment, I can say that there are deficiencies in air defense systems, Yevhen Ivanov, the deputy head of the Military Administration of Kharkiv oblast of Ukraine, told Report while commenting on the latest situation.

“We are discussing it. The government of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, personally speaks about it. The President appeals to all partners to ensure the allocation of a certain number of new modern air defense systems for Ukraine, including Kharkiv. Because only they are able to thwart ballistic missiles,” Ivanov said.

He noted that the flight time of a rocket from Belgorod (Russia) to Kharkiv is less than one minute: “Only modern systems can deal with this situation. There is a critical shortage of air defense systems. This is discussed primarily by our president, with all international partners. For us, the availability and acquisition of air defense systems is important for the protection of the city and the region, the protection of people and workplaces here.
