In the first half of 2022, almost two times more Russians received passports than in the same period of 2021, Report informs via RBC.

Approximately 2.5 million passports were issued in Russia in January-June; most of them – in March.

This is 45% more than in the same period of 2021 when Russians received 1.7 million passports.

In total, in the first half of 2022, the Ministry of Internal Affairs issued slightly more than 5.9 million passports, of which 2.5 million were for foreign travel (Transborder passports) and 3.4 million were internal passports.
