The Ministry of Justice and the State Support Agency for NGOs in Azerbaijan have called upon non-governmental organizations operating in the country to submit their financial reports within the established deadline – by April 1 of the current year.
According to Report, the agencies reminded in their statement that, as per the law “On Non-Governmental Organizations (Public Associations and Foundations)” and the “Rules for Registration of Grant Agreements,” the Ministry of Justice is responsible for registering grant agreements of NGOs and entering information about received donations into the corresponding registry.
“The grant agreement must be submitted to the Ministry of Justice for registration and entry into the registry no later than 30 days from the date of conclusion, the agreement for the provision of services or performance of work – no later than 15 days, and information on donations – no later than 15 days from the date of receipt. Banking and any other operations cannot be carried out under unregistered agreements, as well as for donations for which no information has been provided,” the statement said.
