The Fifth Multilateral Meeting of the Secretaries of Security Councils on Afghanistan will be held in Moscow on February 8, Report informs with reference to the Security Council of Russia.

According to the council, the meeting will discuss international security issues with an emphasis on resolving the situation in Afghanistan.

According to the Russian Security Council, representatives of India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will participate in the discussions. Russia will be represented by Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev.

Earlier, during a meeting of the heads of security and intelligence agencies of the CIS countries, Patrushev said that the current Afghan authorities are still “in a state of euphoria from the victory over the United States.”
