The U.S. business sector has lost more than $300 billion after leaving the Russian market.
This was stated by the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, today in Riyadh before negotiations with a U.S. delegation.
“I will be responsible for the economic aspect of the discussions. Now, for the first time, we are announcing this figure: the loss of U.S. businesses that left the Russian market exceeds $300 billion,” K. Dmitriev noted.
“Accordingly, finding joint economic paths and positive solutions to issues is extremely important, especially for many other countries that are beginning to realize how highly attractive the U.S. and Russian markets are and the necessity of participating in them,” he added.
It should be noted that since Trump is a businessman, his primary interest is economic profit. Apparently, the Russian authorities have sensed this nuance and have started using such figures to entice Washington into normalizing relations.
