A monument to the Islamic Army of the Caucasus has been erected in Azerbaijan’s Ganja, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci tweeted, Report informs.

“Under the auspices of our embassy, a monument has been erected in front of the Shah Abbas Mosque in memory of the first martyrs of the Islamic Army of the Caucasus killed in Ganja on June 11, 1918.

We have conducted a preliminary check with our Consul General in Ganja,” the ambassador wrote.
